Todays DWD is the Silk Habotai Handkerchief Dress by Anna Scholz from La Grande Dame

I have been really smitten with Madonna lately (I blame GLEE!) and this dress brought a Madonna quote to my mind “I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.” This dress really is work of art and it brings all sorts of feelings to me. It makes me feel creative and adventerous and classy and modern all at one time. It really is amazing!  No one could describe this dress better then the ladies at La Grande Dame:

It’s made from light-as-air unlined silk in Anna’s cool digital paintbrush print. The colourful print is complemented by solid black silk straps as well as a black border along the neckline and the angled, handkerchief style hem. A panel of black silk sits within a box pleat at the v-neck and runs down the centre front of the dress adding flowing layers and texture. A drawstring at the empire line allows you to adjust this dress to suit your curves. Looks ethereal, edgy and elegant.

Isn’t it stunning and doesn’t it sound completely lush? I think I really may be in love.  I would wear this dress to gallery opening or an art or fashion event where it could be completely appreciated for is unique quality. I would wear a simple black heel and no jewelry except for a small diamond stud earring. This dress speaks for itself.
