For over a year I have been talking about finding the right maxi dress to lose my maxi “v card” to and I finally found it! For me maxi dresses have always seemed a little scary because I am only 5’4″ and I am mostly torso with very short legs. I knew I inevitably would have to shorten whatever maxi dress I ended up with and I didn’t want to have to sacrafice losing some pattern from the bottom which has kept me from trying a few different fabulous dresses I’ve found, but when I saw this dress from City Chic I knew I had to have it, and they agreed sending it in my most recent review package!

Purple Graphic Maxi Dress: City Chic (Gifted)/ Heels: Torrid/Necklace: Thrifted
I was instantly drawn to the Purple Graphic Maxi Dress from City Chic when I saw it online because of the stunning pattern highlighting some of my favorite shades of pinks and purples but I fell even more in love when my package arrived and I saw it in person. It is such a vibrant and rich looking pattern with some spicey flirtation and fun and even has these small splashes of red in it too that take it up a knotch and keep it from looking too casual. It is a great chiffon feeling material and is fully lined keeping it cool and comfortable and flowy without it being too thin or see through. I got my dress in a size L which was equivalent to a Torrid size 22 according to their size charts. I fall right in the middle of a 22 and a 24 so I decided to go for a bit tighter since it was cut with an empire waist and the girls haven’t been filling out dresses like they normally do lately. I guessed right and it was an absolute perfect fit in the bust and perfectly roomy to not show the bumps and lumps in my tummy. The dress is supposed to be flowy in typical maxi fashion and it totally accomplished that in this size for me. The dress is a bit long on me but that was too be expected and while I wore it in today’s post with my Torrid 4 inch heels I do think I will shorten it for Spring and summer so I can wear it with a flat gladitor sandal. Overall this dress is a dream and a real class act. I love the punch of fun and personality it brings while still looking chic and fabulous! What else could one expect from City Chic?
Check out everything City Chic has to offer right now including some really fabulous Spring dresses and great maxi’s! I highly recommend it!
