Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend was great. Mine didn’t turn out quite as I had planned. Last week Nightrider was at school and a guy was backing out of a space and didn’t see her and ended up giving her a bit of a love tap. His back bumper hit her leg and while at first she thought it just was going to be a bruise by the end of the day she was in serious pain and unable to really put any weight on her leg. She went to the doctor from some xrays on Friday and after checking her out her doctor said she tore some of the cartlidge in her knee. Today we will be going in for an MRI to see if it is something that will need surgery or not but for the weekend she was stuck on the couch and I took care of her, needless to say I ended up not having my photographer as planned. I didn’t want to leave you in the lurch though after promising some outfit posts this weeks and since I was digging my look today in my new dress courtesey of City Chic I did manage to snap a few shots out in the rain before I headed to work this morning. Also a chance for everyone to enjoy my haircut and of course my pasty legs!

 This dress is not something I typically would have chosen just because I have never been big on stripes but recently I was given $100 to City Chic to pick some pieces for review and I decided to take a leap and try something a bit outside my comfort zone. I really am so pleased with this dress though and am so glad I picked it! It is a bit severe but it is so edgy and fun and makes me feel really sexy and cool wearing it for the first time today. I actually have fallen in love with the stripes and I love how they have been sewn under the heart shaped bodice on this dress, it adds a touch of feminity with the sweetheart neck and I am really loving the way my ta tas look in it too! The puff sleeves were part of what called to me on this dress and they don’t dissapoint. Really they are perfection. I also love the sturdy material of the skirt and the satin lining on the inside.  I recieved this dress in a size L and it fits me perfectly as a size 22 US. There is a little bit of pleating under the bust line which gives the skirt a bit of shape and its also a great length hitting right above the knees. The only thing I would change about this dress is I would add pockets just cause I love pockets on dresses but even without them this dress is still lovely, smart, edgy and chic!

This dress made me feel so sexy this morning which is honestly something that I haven’t felt very often lately. It has a bit of a pin up vibe to it though and I really love the confidence it helped me exude today. I decided to play up how good I was feeling and despite the rain today chose to go with bare legs. Showing some skin feels great and I loved topping it off with a pair of dangly earrings gifted to me from Torrid and my Torrid wedges that we are finally getting to see the cut outs and the faux laces on since I am wearing them without tights for the first time! Red lips was the final touch and I feel like a million bucks in this look!
