“Every nickel, dime, quarter, dollar, five, ten, twenty”

It has been a crazy week so far. I started back at school, made some last minute class changes that have me loving my full time course load (creative writing for the win!) and have been busting my tush with homework and getting things under control.  It feels great! I also have begun the process of getting ready for Full Figured Fashion Week(tm) next week and it seems like there is so much to do and not enough time to do it all. Today though Nightrider and I took a break from homework to run a couple errands and decided to play at the park a bit and take some outfit photos!

Fedora: Chinese Laundry/Earrings: Torrid/Sunglasses: Betsey Johnson/Boyfriend Cardigan:Sealed With A Kiss Designs (Gifted)/

Top: City Chic/Shorts: City Chic/Shoes: Torrid (Gifted)

I am going to write more about this tomorrow but I am having this weird style transition right now, and it has me trying some new looks and this happens to be one of them. It is starting to warm up and for me that means it time to bust out the short shorts and I absolutley love these Clean Denim Shorts I bought during the 50% off sale at City Chic. I got them in a size 22 and they are a perfect fit with a bit of stretch and some nice structure that I really dig. I wore them camping last weekend and am now wearing them again today and I must say I am in love.  I got this zip front slightly tribal looking green and black tank top during the City Chic sale as well and it  is super comfortable in a XL and isn’t the back of it to die for? Since it is still a bit windy I added my favorite boyfriend cardigan from SWAK to my look. To give it all a bit more of a put together look I added my fedora from Chinese Laundry, my Torrid wing earrings and my go to Torrid wedges to complete the look.  It is summer which means I am living in my sunglasses and right now my top choice for most looks is these Betsey Johnson shades. Overall I love the way I feel and look today in this look!

What are you wearing today?

love love love, in a big bad way the betsy johnson shades… so much so that my heart skipped a beat when I stumbled across a Betsy boutique while in Toronto last month.
Sadly, they didn’t have this style. *sigh*

I’m sorry. I don’t mean to offend you but this isn’t your best look. And kudos to you on creative writing. I’m studying creative writing in graduate school no less. And who is Nightrider? I love how you write in code. Are you ashamed of your partner?

    • Different strokes for different folks, everyone isnt always going to like everything and i’m cool with that. I like what I’m wearing and thats what counts. My partner (who I am certainly not ashamed of) and I prefer a little bit of anonymitiy hence why we don’t use our real names. People are crazy in this world and I we have a right to a small bit of privacy.
      Thanks for stopping by!

I think you look quite cute in that ensemble actually and I admire your bravery at getting the lily white gams out on display. I say brave as I am a total coward when it comes to exposing my legs. Mid calf down only usually (Really, I belong in the Victorian era)

New clothes always make me happy, even if they’re second hand/thrift shop finds. Picked up 3 shirts, 2 pairs of capris and a pair of shorts, plus 3 pairs of shorts for my son, for less than $60 today at Value Village. Pics tomorrow I think.

I got the clean tab shorts from the City Chic sale! I NEVER wear shorts but this year i said fuck it! I’m wearing em!

  7. This is one of my absolute favorite outfits you have worn! Those shorts look amazing, and I’m so bummed that CC doesn’t carry them in higher sizes. I really love the tribal tank and the cardi goes perfectly with it. I think what I love most about this outfit is that it gives off a certain attitude, especially with the shades and fedora. You just look like a “cool” chick, if that makes sense. Someone with personality and gusto. Love it!
