Hey Curvy Chicks!

I know, I know its been a long time between posts. Those of you who follow me on Facebook and Twitter have probably heard that I have been under the weather for quite some time now. I have somehow contracted what I am referring to as the “death cold” TWICE so far this year and now seem to be battling some tummy issues that my doctor is worried are due to my gallbladder. Needless to say I’ve been super sick. I am feeling a bit better today, am finally able to eat something and have an ultrasound scheduled for Monday to see where I need to go from here. Thanks to those of you who have sent messages and have been worried about me and also so patient with my absence from the blog world.

Last Friday night I managed to get my energy up enough to attend an event hosted by one of my local friends who you all might also remember from FFFweek LA in 2010 Jamie E. Bruce plus model.  Jamie has been working on a curvy girl take-ova here in Boise Idaho and is killin it with her company of awesome plus models and making a place for curvy fashion in a community that needs it so desperately. I absolutely adore Jamie E. as well as all of her models and when I heard they were putting on a Curvy Burlesque & Lingerie Fashion Show here in town I knew I had to get involved. Stiletto Siren: A Life & Style Blog With Curves was a proud sponsor for the show and we were front and center for all the action and I’m so excited to share a little taste of the curvy girl happenings in Boise here with you all!

The Curvy Burlesque & Lingerie Fashion Show was literally FIRE! There were girls of all shapes and sizes working the runway and red carpet as well as supporting from the audience. It was so amazing to see such support for the curvy community in Boise and to see all of the personal style that was reflected not only in the models but also in those in attendance! The girls lit up the runway and the burlesque dances and vocal numbers were amazing as well. It was totally a night of great entertainment that celebrated the beauty of all the ladies involved. Nightrider and I worked as press at the event and took about a zillion pictures, really we have like 700 photos we are currently editing and will be loading into an album on my facebook page ASAP so keep your eyes out! I also snapped some special shots I wanted to share here, including what I wore (including my INSANE pompadour) with you all and put together a video reel of some highlights of the event. ENJOY!
