What I Wore: “Go Your Own Way”

Hey Curvy Chicks!

It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL out today and I am loving soaking up some vitamin D in the sunshine. I realized I haven’t posted an outfit in like a month and thats not cool so today even though I am certainly not the fliest version of myself I decided that I was going to capture what I am wearing while loving the weather and taking the first opportunity to go sleeveless this Spring.

Now some curvy girls and some skinny girls too hate their arms. While it may not be my favorite body part (you know I LOVE my booty) I don’t really have a problem with my thick chubby arms. I know their are some out there who think if it can swing in the wind you should cover it up but I say FUCK THAT! Pardon my French but its time to stop being polite and starting getting real (circa Real World 1992) on Stiletto Siren!

Anyhoo I wanted to rock a sleeveless dress and decided to take the opportunity to also try out the high low trend with this lovely animal print dress sent to me by my lovely friends at Simply Be! This dress is super comfortable and loose fitting but is a lovely light and airy fabric. This dress normally comes with a brown metallic belt (I have somehow misplaced mine in my mess of a closet) that is thicker then the one I chose to pair it with to cinch in the waist. I decied to just add a black skinny belt that could be for the most part hidden creating a separation between my chest and the rest of me. I felt comfortable and floaty in the best way possible and know that this is a dress I will easily be able to turn to as it heats up this summer.

Black Fedora: Rue21/ Silver Wing Earrings: Torrid/Angel Ribbons Up Down Hem Dress: SimplyBe (Gifted)/

How do you feel about showing off your arms? What did you wear today?

xoxo

Wow! I love this! And I also hate my arms and wish I was brave enough to show them xxx

    Looking gorgeous as per usual!
I’ve been working hard to get used to working sleeveless outfits, but I hafta admit I’m still not 100% comfortable with my arm chubz. Getting there though!

Get the arms out ladies! The sky will not fall in and the world will continue to spin. Life is WAY too short to worry about our arm flab. Be free and feel the cool air. Let’s STOP feeling apologetic for not having toned upper arms. Folk will not even care and those who do care are frikkin fools anyways.x

    <3 this dress on you.

I have "toned" arms but even sometimes I'm afraid to show them off. I tend to get comments on how toned they are and it's just uncomfortable.

You go girl. I have been buying from Simply Be for a year now. They have the best big girl clothes. I have gone from a 3x to a 1x or XL trying to trim down for health reasons. I too have the wonderful privilege of the flabby arms which all the woman in the family had. O-well. Gotta live with it. Love my tunic tanks and leggins. Hey nobody is perfect some are lucky enough to be able to hide theirs well…..REALLY do they think they are fooling anyone???? Strut your stuff and love every minute of it!!!!
