Hey Curvy Chicks!
City Chic has had my heart for years now but over the last few months I just hadn’t quite found pieces that I felt screamed ME and basically hadn’t been drooling over their collections like I had in the past. I was honestly starting to lose interest, but that all changed when I was scanning my email Thursday! City Chic has definitely gotten this curvy girls attention once again with their new collection Acid Flash. It honestly is full of some really fun pieces that are a bit edgy, sassy, and include all the things I am currently crazy about from Lace details, to cutouts, great black pieces for multiple vampy looks and of course some touches of fabulous bright colors. The new collection has a little bit of everything check out what I am currently loving:
Zip Trim Jacket In Acid (Also Available In Black & Blood Orange)
I am just so in love with the Acid color, it seriously pops! I think a blazer like this can take a basic jeans and top to a whole new level of SASSY! I would wear this for casual looks like I mentioned but also with the perfect LBD and textured tights when I am feeling like adding that extra something to my look!
I would wear this top ALL THE TIME, I am so smitten with it! I would probably wear this top with leggings and a cami underneath to show a little skin in a casual way. Add on some gothic accessories and give it a truly edgy look, or keep it simple for a wearable look any day off the week.
Cut Out Skater Dress In Pink (Also Available In Black)
Honestly I would probably be more likely to rock this dress in black just because the pink would clash with my hair, but for all you girls with hair colors actually found in nature, this dress would be smokin in either color.! I love the shape of this dress and think it is cut in a way that is sweet but still has the potential to come across fierce with the right accessories. I would wear this dress with tights and pumps for a special occasion or with leggings combat boots and a boyfriend cardigan for a typical day.
A great basic for a wardrobe at first sight but oh so special with asymmetrical cut sleeves and sheer touches. I love how interesting this top is and would rock it with denim in a casual way or pair it with a skirt and faux leather vest as a special layer in a more complicated look!
I LOVE THESE LEGGINGS! So severe and stylish. I would rock them with so many pieces in my wardrobe just because of the great texture they could bring to the look. Perfect with a tunic and chunky booties, or paired with a simple dress to enhance the look!
When I saw this top on the site I instantly had the desire to pair it with slacks and a blazer for a business look. I think the print would be a nice touch to a fairly simple outfit and the cowl neckline makes it even more perfect for layering.
