It has been a crazy week so far. I started back at school, made some last minute class changes that have me loving my full time course load (creative writing for the win!) and have been busting my tush with homework and getting things under control.  It feels great! I also have begun the process of getting ready for Full Figured Fashion Week(tm) next week and it seems like there is so much to do and not enough time to do it all. Today though Nightrider and I took a break from homework to run a couple errands and decided to play at the park a bit and take some outfit photos!

I am going to write more about this tomorrow but I am having this weird style transition right now, and it has me trying some new looks and this happens to be one of them. It is starting to warm up and for me that means it time to bust out the short shorts and I absolutley love these Clean Denim Shorts I bought during the 50% off sale at City Chic. I got them in a size 22 and they are a perfect fit with a bit of stretch and some nice structure that I really dig. I wore them camping last weekend and am now wearing them again today and I must say I am in love.  I got this zip front slightly tribal looking green and black tank top during the City Chic sale as well and it  is super comfortable in a XL and isn’t the back of it to die for? Since it is still a bit windy I added my favorite boyfriend cardigan from SWAK to my look. To give it all a bit more of a put together look I added my fedora from Chinese Laundry, my Torrid wing earrings and my go to Torrid wedges to complete the look.  It is summer which means I am living in my sunglasses and right now my top choice for most looks is these Betsey Johnson shades. Overall I love the way I feel and look today in this look!

There is a bit of a flu bug going around and I seem to be battling it today. I refuse to let it get me because there is just far too much to get done so I am pushing through and trying to stick with my routine. Mind over matter right? So in keeping with my routine even though I don’t feel so hot and have an extreme need to feel comfortable I still expect myself to look hot and love my clothing so I figured today was the perfect day to rock one of my new, totally cute yet totally comfortable review items from Sealed With A Kiss Designs!

The Cozy Tie Bellini Cardigan is totally what it implies SUPER COZY, it is so warm and comfortable and I just want to live in it all the time.  It is also completely cute, chic and great for casual work wear,weekend errands and lounging too. I am so smitten with it!

I got my Bellini Cardi in a Size 2x which is actually smaller then I normally get but it fits perfect, way to go SWAK for knowing my body so well! It is roomy and comfortable and I think if I had gotten it in a 3x it would be too long on my 5’4″ body. It can be worn open or tied with the removable tie so it has some versatility which is also great.  The material is of nice quality like we expect from Sealed With A Kissbut sooooooo soft too, it will seriously become your best friend piece for days when you need it most!  I highly recommend this piece to everyone who is looking for a cozy but cute piece to add to their wardrobe. 

 In this look I paired my Bellini Cardi with my new jeggings I got on clearance at my local Torrid. They have a great button detail at the ankles that I love and makes the look a bit more interesting. Under the cardi I am wearing my black cami that was gifted to me by City Chic in the last shipment they sent me. It is really comfortable and simple and great for layering.  I added my Torrid earrings and leaf necklace for some extra detail and then finished the look with my faux suede Forever21 booties.

Loving this comfortable and cute look today!

New Series! Tweeps With Talent: Dahlia Zinnia

Today is the launch of one of 3 new series I am launching this month!  Tweeps With Talent!

If you know much about me and social media while I enjoy all aspects of it I am a twitter junkie! I live for it really. It is such a great place to keep up with friends, make new ones and to inform everyone what I had for breakfast :) There are so many amazing people in my life I probably would have never gotten to know if it hadn’t been for twitter and some extremely talented ones as well. So that brings us to one of my new series Tweeps With Talent which will feature people I have met on twitter who are you guessed it talented in one way or another. Whether they be up and coming designers, artists, models, singers, writers or what have you this is the place where I will reveal some of the awesome Tweeps I have come in contact with and put them on blast for you to get to know as well!

Today I am featuring my twitter buddy @Dahliazinnias who is not only an awesome Pre-K teacher and great friend to chat with but working on her own line of unique custom made accessories for all occassions Dahlia Zinnia . Knowing my extreme love for dramatic headbands she was super sweet enough to send me my own unique headbands to incorporate in this Tweeps with Talent post and I absolutely love it and am rocking it today with one of my favorite go to outfits!

First I have to say that you can totally tell the love put into this headband and that is one of the greatest parts about it. Dahlia loves making these accessories and you can tell by the finished product. I absolutely love this headband made for me with my favorite things sequins, lace and a perfect purple jewel that makes it just perfect for my look today. The sequins on the headband are on nice and sturdy and the lace is moldable and not too ridgid so I can easily make it work with my hair which I love. Overall I think I have found a great Tweep With Talent in Dahlia Zinnia!

"And I, I Am Feeling A Little Peculiar"

It snowed like crazy this weekend and is freezing out. Winter is certainly here in Boise so that means get ready to see  a lot of my entry way and living room. I will try and get out when I can and do some outdoor shots but we are just gonna have to work with what we got until then. I had an absolutely lovely weekend relaxing and vegging out with Nightrider and am finally feeling rested and refreshed for the first time in a long long time. I am feeling better then I have in a while and I’m ready to make some things happen and get moving a few projects!

Today is a true outfit of the day of my back to work outfit after the long weekend.  I go through a day or so every month where I just can’t stand my clothes. Its really just hormones turning on me but it makes me have a really hard time getting dressed in the morning.  One positive thing is it does  though, is make me try things I don’t wear all that often and put pieces together I haven’t before and that is what happened this morning.

Today I am wearing my black bodycon dress from ASOS Curve. I absolutely love this dress and actually wear it to work fairly often. It is comfortable, classy, a good length that is work appropriate and I can dress it up or dress it down easily. I paired it with two items from my closet that I haven’t worn at all yet. I haven’t been sure about this grey short sleeved blazer from Forever21+ that I ordered a couple months back but I actually feel pretty good about how it looks with this dress. I made the look a bit more interesting and fun for a Monday with my pink textured tights from Torrid. I’m a little bit pink myself so they blend in a smidge but I think they are fun and they put a little sass in my step! I topped the look off with my Forever21 Suedette booties that are super comfy and cute and a long strand of pearls from Torrid.

Tomorrow I’m sure I will be loving my clothes again but while I’m in hormone hell I think I pulled off a cute and sassy look that will get my through the day!
